: Interior Style on a Shoestring
by Kuz Bauwens and Alexandra Campbell
This book is about decorating cheaply but does not really take sustainability into consideration. Fair.
The words of wise men are like goads, and masters of these collections are like well-driven nails; they are given by one Shepherd. But beyond this, my son, be warned: the writing of many books is endless, and excessive devotion to books is wearying to the body. The conclusion, when all has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. -King Solomon

Choosing to See
by Mary Beth Chapman
Mary Beth, the wife of Christian singer, Steven Curtis Chapman, tells the story of her life, including her children, her ongoing struggle with depression, the adoptions of two children from China, the founding of ShowHope, and her daughter Maria's death.
This story touched me profoundly. I laughed. I cried. I prayed. This is one of the most memorable books I have ever read.

Extras
by Scott Westerfeld
This is a futuristic teen novel, the 4th in a series. I reviewed the second book here. The scene is several hundred years in the future. Interesting.

A Bride of the Plains
by Baroness Orczy (author of The Scarlet Pimpernel)
A lost letter results in Elsa thinking that her beloved Andor is dead. He returns the evening before her marriage to another man, but Elsa has pledged her word and refuses to cancel the wedding.
This historical romance was written in 1915 and is set in Hungary. Most of Baroness Orczy's books are out of print, but I love them and pick up second-hand copies when I can find them.
